Let’s Do the Time Warp Again!

One of the most bizarre and iconic cult films of all time, The Rocky Horror Picture Show has captured generations of film fans around the world since its release in 1975.

Spawned from the smashing success of the original theatrical runs of The Rocky Horror Show musical on London’s West End, Los Angeles, and Broadway throughout the 1970s, the movie version encompassed all the camp and humor of the stage show, which in turn was written as homage to the sci-fi and B horror films of the 1940s and ’50s.

In 2015, Fox Broadcasting Company announced that it was producing a modern-day made-for-TV remake of the 1975 film featuring noted trans actress Laverne Cox as Dr. Frank N. Furter and Adam Lambert as Eddie. Tim Curry will make a cameo appearance as the criminologist. Before the show airs in October 2016, take the time to watch (or re-watch) the film or go see a midnight showing at numerous theaters that observe the beloved tradition!
