There are over hundreds of thousands of animal species in the world, and I’m pretty sure that I’m scared of more than half of them. You may think you’re knowledgeable about some of the simplest creatures, but the following facts you’re about to learn will prove otherwise.

In a Reddit forum, a user posed the question, “What random animal fact should everyone know?” The answers poured in, and from incestuous clownfish to infectious cats, prepare to be wowed. If you didn’t know that alligators don’t age or that Koalas are diseased, I’m about to school you on a few animal facts.

Alligators don’t age

Alligators have no definitive lifespan. They will live forever until a disease, injury, etc. kills them. For clarity: they don’t age naturally like we and most other animals do. (blazing-wolf)

To be more specific, a bear can outrun a racehorse over a short distance. They just have little endurance.
