There’s Nothing Else Like Them in the World
How better to understand ourselves and where we came from than by looking back at the past?
History is filled with countless stories, virtually endless lives and personal accounts that have survived millennia to give us insight today into how our ancestors lived, from the food they ate and slept to the way they battled and died.
Often, over the years, some of the most beautiful and telling remnants of ancient cultures get lost or destroyed, which makes the remaining artifacts even more precious and unique. On the following pages, you’ll see a collection of some of the most incredible historical treasures that you’ve probably never even seen before.
From Napoleon’s toothbrush to carved skulls, these historical artifacts are AWESOME!
A cat peed on this medieval manuscript.
One page was ruined by the cat’s pee, so the scribe drew an illustration and wrote, “Here is nothing missing, but a cat urinated on this during a certain night. Cursed be the pesty cat that urinated over this book during the night in Deventer and because of it many others too. And beware well not to leave open books at night where cats can come.”
Original Winnie the Pooh
