While I think most of us are happy not to live under a monarchy, I still think many Americans love the Queen of England.
Queen Elizabeth II is adorable, very smartly dressed, and she runs business like no other. The fact that she’s done it for nearly 64 years makes it even more impressive. In fact, her leadership has made her a role model for many, including one American, who wrote to her with a very interesting plea.
“Take us back” begged one man in a letter he wrote to Buckingham Palace last month. Brought to light by his friend on Reddit, the writer remains anonymous, but the letter looks legitimate.
In a desperate attempt to save the future of America, the writer penned this letter following the Republican primary debate and mailed it straight to Buckingham Palace. It reads,
“Dear Your Majesty and Prime Minister,
On behalf of the American people, I urgently implore you to please take us back. Clearly, the options we have to lead us aren’t up to par. Again, please, I beg of you, make the United States of America a colony of the United Kingdom. For further reasons as to why this is such a necessary, albeit drastic, step, I refer to tonight’s Republican Party primary debate. Thank you. God save The Queen.”
Strange as it seems, the story gets weirder: Buckingham Palace responded.
