These Are My Confessions
One of the biggest draws of the internet that permits people to act as they so often do is that, at least to the layperson, everything is anonymous.
Naturally, to government officials or those more attuned to the workings of IP addresses, posting online is never really as anonymous at it seems, but that doesn’t stop people from acting like total trolls, dishing out their dirtiest secrets or showing their ugliest sides to the virtual world.
Digital anonymity gives people false courage to post all kinds of things they probably wouldn’t say in the real world, and their confessions can range from humorous and perverted to downright sinister.
Redditors were asked to share the creepiest confessions they’d ever seen on Reddit or similar sites, and these were their responses.
Think you can handle these?
The things realtors don’t disclose…
throwaway125091: Two and a half years ago I was in dire financial straights, so I sold my home to keep my struggling business afloat. I neglected to tell the owners that they have an 800 sq. ft. bunker on the property that I built about seven years ago. The bunker that I’ve called home since I sold it. The entrance to it is well-hidden, but I still come and go very early/very late in the day.
I’m a single man who keeps to himself. I’m now in a situation where I could move somewhere else, but I love this hidden paradise so much.
Well that’s one way to get a wife.
ashdelete: There was a guy who confessed that he stalked a girl for a year, hacked her love interest’s computer, planted a load of evidence that love interest had been stalking her and was into a load of weird and creepy stuff, revealed it to girl, helped girl to get a restraining order on love interest, used that as his way in with the girl, and eventually married her … what the actual f***.
