These folks need to cool it.
Being a mother comes with more challenges than it may seem, and on top of the stresses of raising a child, mothers are often judged for their parenting techniques. When you’re an A-list celebrity as big as Megan Fox, that judgment will only be amplified. So it’s not surprising that her recent decision to let her son wear this outfit has people on the internet buzzing.
There are two sides to every argument, and not everyone agrees with Megan’s decision to let her son make his own choices. In this case, though, it might be better if people just let it go.
When Megan posted this picture, it doesn’t seem like her intention was to start a debate of any kind. In fact, the emphasis isn’t even on what her son wore. Instead, it’s simply a photograph of four different polaroids, showing her entire family, including a casual glam shot of herself.
You might think that pictures like this would remind people that Megan’s family is just like any other, but she was still held to the standard of a celebrity when folks spotted what her son was wearing.
His Own Style
It’s clear that Megan’s son, Noah, has his own sense of style. Even though it’s not uncommon for young boys, especially as young as four-year-old Noah, his style has been stirring up commentary on the Internet.
Megan clearly didn’t see anything wrong with letting Noah express his style in this polaroid of him wearing a bright blue Frozen dress… which he looks completely adorable in. But just because Megan didn’t see anything wrong with it, doesn’t mean people online would restrain from sharing their opinions on the Internet; many of her fans were not happy with her choice.
When it comes to the comments section, people are going to say exactly what’s on their mind. These people held nothing back, with some coming just short of attacking the young mother.
One wrote, “It is not okay for a boy to walk around in their mother’s heels. Just like it’s NOT okay for a child to be disrespectful. So again that’s when it’s the parent’s job to instruct the child in the RIGHT way.” Others wrote, “I don’t think so… What kind of boy is dressing like a girl…” and “JUST THINK IS NOT A GOOD IDEA…BOYS LEARN VERY QUICKLY AT THAT AGE AND CAN START THINKING IT’S OK. SORRY TO BE HONEST.”
