But for those of us who can’t hop over to London this summer to see the plays, there’s still hope.
On February 10, it was announced on Pottermore that the scripts of both plays, as well as a Special Rehearsal Edition, will be published both digitally and in print following the premieres on July 30.
This announcement marks the beginning of a truly exciting year for Harry Potter lovers, with a film version of Fantastic Beats and Where to Find Them coming out in November, plus a plethora of new editions of the original books throughout 2017 to mark the 20th anniversary of the original publication of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s [Sorcerer’s] Stone.
Officially the eighth installment in Harry Potter cannon, do you think will live up to fan’s expectations?
Rowling stated that she was confident her fans would understand why she had to tell her newest story in a live theatre format after they saw the shows. Unfortunately for many of us, it may be a while before a tour of the new play comes anywhere near us.
Will you be counting down the days until Harry and Jo’s birthday on July 31st, the release date of the scripts? SHARE this article and spread the word!
