Money. Moolah. Dough. Bread. The green. We all know what it is, but that doesn’t mean we all have it.
Depending on how important it is to you, money either makes the world go round or it’s the root of all evil. Money might make everything in life more simple, or it could cause more problems than it’s worth. And unless bitcoin or some other form of digital banking and credit takes over soon, chances are money–paper or otherwise–is going to be around for a long, long time.
Though it’s been proven that money can’t buy you happiness in the long run, it sure would help to have excess amounts of it from time to time. But if that’s not in the cards for you, why not settle for having friends with money instead?
If you’ve ever known anyone with tons of cash to blow, chances are you’ve picked up on some of the tell-tale signs of wealth. But aside from the outward, showy things like a fancy suit or the most expensive new technology, how can you tell if someone comes from money?
Redditors were asked to share the most clear giveaways that indicate a person’s wealth, and this is what they came up with!
How many of these “rich people problems” have you seen?
angela_bee: They think it’s weird when people struggle with money.
I used to live in NYC, and knew a guy who came from HUGE money who was a trust fund kid and worked in the fashion industry because he loved it. He had an apartment on Park Avenue, had a driver, etc. He was very nice, but clueless about struggle. Every time he’d hear me say something like “oh yay, another peanut butter sandwich” he’d just tilt his head and say “If you’re hungry why don’t you just order delivery?” or something. He had NO CLUE about things like having twenty dollars to your name for the next five days.
Fleaslayer: Having known quite a number, I’d say hobbies. Things like polo and jumping horses, racing cars, and flying, especially. Golf and other sports that take money to learn/play also to a certain extent. One person into multiple of these is a real giveaway.
