Some Heartache Lasts Forever.

After a relationship falls apart, it’s only normal that a multitude of items or actions remind us of an ex. From flavors of bubble gum, to songs, to mismatched socks, even the smallest details of our day to day lives can become forever altered in our heartbreak.

Some of us are able to clean out these signs of the past shortly after a relationship goes south, whereas others remain attached to even the least significant of items, as if keeping them around might transport us back to happier times.

But would you ever donate one of these mementos for all the world to see? The Museum of Broken Relationships does just that.

Here’s what you’ll find inside…

The original museum officially opened in Zagreb, Croatia in 2010 after years of traveling as an exhibit.

Not surprisingly, it was conceived by Olinka Vištica and Dražen Grubišić, a couple who split up in 2003. Who better to share heartbreak with the world than those who have experienced it personally?

Now, a second permanent location is opening in Los Angeles, and it will be filled with exceptionally ordinary displays.
