These Celebrities Have Had About As Much Of Donald Trump As They Can Take
Endorsements are essential to any presidential candidate — the sacred stamp of approval from a well-known company or celebrity can persuade thousands of voters who are on the fence. However, you know your campaign is a little unorthodox (to say the least) when celebrities are actually joining forces not to sing your praises, but to call for your disqualification from the race. Is Trump in for a rude awakening in the polls?
Dozens of celebrities, including Kerry Washington, Danny Glover, and Rosie O’Donnell have lunged a campaign to end Donald Trump’s bid for the White House. For the record, Washington’s hit show Scandal is watched by MILLIONS, and they worship they ground she walks on. To say that the voices of these huge stars won’t be heard is a huge underestimation.
The businessman-turned-TV personality is the current frontrunner for the Republican party nomination ahead of the U.S. presidential election this year, but thousands of Americans are voicing their opposition as part of a drive called “Stop Hate, Dump Trump.” Trump has been under fire for controversial remarks about Mexican immigrants, women, and Muslims (among many, many other things), and campaign organizers categorize him as a “a grave threat to democracy, freedom, human rights, equality, and the welfare of our country and all our people.”
So who exactly is joining the “Dump Trump” campaign? And what is their specific goal?
Keep reading to see which of your fave celebs are putting their foot down on Trump’s campaign.

These Supporters Are More Than Just Pretty Faces
Also lending her support is activist and playwright Eve Ensler, who says in a statement, “Trump is a frontrunner candidate who promises to ‘build a wall’ on our borders, humiliates and denigrates Muslims (sic), women, immigrants, racial minorities as part of his ‘stump speech,’ allows protesters to be beaten at his rallies and in fact encourages hostility toward anyone who disagrees with him.
“We are offering Americans a chance to be heard and engage in action, as Trump’s campaign gain momentum even as he increases his hateful and divisive rhetoric.”
