Forgiveness is one of the most difficult traits for us humans to come to terms, and there are some who have been forgiven who may not have deserved it. This past week, a story was released of an innocent man having been framed by a crooked cop years back, leaving his life nearly in shambles.
While many would expect the innocent man, who was put behind bars for 4 years for a crime he didn’t commit, to hold a grudge after his life was nearly ruined, the completely unexpected happened following when they crossed paths again just years later.
Find out what happened between this crooked cop and the innocent man on the following pages.
The innocent man ran into the crooked cop who framed him when they were forced to work together at a café.
Benton Harbor police officer Andrew Collins admitted to framing Jameel McGee, who was randomly arrested and accused of dealing drugs while he was going about his day. Since no one believed that he was innocent, he was sentenced to four years in prison, but was able to get some clarity on the situation not to long after being released.
The crooked cop gave McGee an overdue apology after he admitted to falsifying a police report.
In 2005, former officer Collins falsified a police report so that he could meet a quota for the day. He said in an interview, “I falsified the report. Basically, at the start of that day, I was going to make sure I had another drug arrest.”
