We're in a new age of warfare
The United States has been locked in war abroad for over ten years, and it only seems like it’s going to get worse now that President Donald Trump is hellbent on destroying ISIS and keeping North Korea and its alleged nuclear weapons under control. The military is always working on creating new weapons with which to protect our country, and here are the biggest, baddest, and strangest of their new crop of weapons.
“What makes the B61-12 bomb the most dangerous nuclear weapon in America’s arsenal is its usability. This usability derives from a combination of its accuracy and low-yield,” stated Zachary Keck of The National Interest.
The B61-12 is so accurate and will yield a fraction of the nuclear fallout of large nukes that it will probably be used a lot more in warfare.
No, we’re not talking about an email, we’re talking about an electromagnetic bomb. This non-lethal bomb knocks out or completely destroys anything that relies on electricity to function: computers, televisions, radios, and phones using a strong pulse of energy.
The destruction that could arise from an area being without power could be devastating. Riots, famine, and violence could potentially erupt. The U.S. tested this bomb on March 24, 2003 in Iraq.
Modular Advanced Armed Robotic System
Lovingly entitled MAARS, this robotic arsenal of death and destruction boasts an M240B machine gun and four M203 grenade launcher tubes on a 360 degree rotating turret. It can also fire 450 rounds of machine gun ammunition and four grenade rounds.
If they want the machine to be less lethal, they can load it with bean bags or sponges. It can travel 1000 meters away from its operator.
