It's better to give than to receive
It feels nice helping out others in need, but we usually do that by donating items or money without having to see the people that it’s going to. We usually have distance from those receiving our charity. But how do you feel when you pass a homeless person on the street asking for change? Three Texas teens saw a chance to help out a person in need that they came into contact with, and they absolutely went above and beyond for him.
Like Any Other Day
Ryan Cook and his buddies Alberto and Joshua headed over to the local Chick-fil-A in Corpus Christi, Texas to grab a bite to eat. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary except for one man sitting at a table with no food.
His name was Eddie, and it was easy to see that he was homeless. On his table, he had a worn bible and he was slowly counting out his change to see if he had enough money to get food that day.
The Christian-based restaurant chain workers said that Eddie stopped in regularly for food that he purchased with pan-handled change or to get water for his beloved pet dog, Socks.
But these teens knew that they couldn’t sit idly by while Eddie was clearly struggling for food. So they did this to help him out….
