A puppy overload
Amongst all the bad news, there’s always something that will make you smile and this might just be it. The Finger Lake SPCA and the New York state troopers were involved in a situation that involved an adorable overload. They thought it was going to be just another normal day at work, when they got calls that changed their days for the better, and they got something that they never would have expected.
Help! We’ve got… puppies!
The Finger Lakes SPCA said that they were contacted by New York State Troopers to assist in an accident that happened with a transport vehicle that was carrying a lot of puppies… like a LOT of puppies. 104 to be exact. Unfortunately, the puppies were being transported from a puppy mill, but after the incident some of them remained in the SPCA’s care.
Overwhelming and adorable
The accident happened when the truck that was carrying the puppies had lost control on the interstate and ended up in a ditch. The reaction time from the New York State Troopers was quick, but they needed some help, and the SPCA answered the call. What they got may have been a little bit more than what they had bargained for.
All puppies safe
The FLSPCA had a vet come to the scene, and each and every puppy involved was examined. No lives were lost, and there were only two serious injuries: a broken jaw and a broken leg. Both of these two puppies were taken to be treated immediately after the scene.
