Can you believe how much filth they lived in?!
Compulsive hoarding is the product of a mental disorder that makes a person feel the extreme need to collect and keep items regardless of their value. The quality of life that a hoarder experiences is very low, and they usually suffer from self-esteem and anxiety issues. It affects an estimated 1 in 40 people in some form, but the worst hoarders will completely fill up their homes with trash and discarded foods. When one man tried to tackle a hoarded home, he realized just how serious of a mental disease hoarding is.
Walking Into Chaos
Redditor nevertrustapigfarmer shared his photos from his adventures in house flipping. When he purchased one home “as is,” he found out that it was because it was full of garbage and badly in need of repair.
The previous homeowner had a dog that wouldn’t go outside, so it urinated on the floors, causing extensive damage, and it defecate where it wanted to.
This air vent goes to show much filth, dander, and mold can accumulate in a dirty house. All of the ductwork had to be heavily cleaned out. Living in a hoarded house can cause serious health problems related to mold.
