The Caucasian Shepherd is a ginormous dog. They’re popular in Russia, America, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Northern Caucasian areas. They’re incredibly strong-boned, muscular dogs commonly referred to as molasses. These dogs can get up to 28 inches tall for females, and 30 inches for males.
The males can weigh up to 220lbs while the females can clock in at up to 180lbs. They live for about 10 years, so long enough for a good companion dog. These dogs are, however, one of the hardest dogs to train and they have an aggressive nature. Because of this, they might be seen as a dangerous breed to own.
If you’re looking for a lap dog, it’s safe to say this breed wouldn’t be the best choice. Look at that thing! It looks like it could just be a bear on a leash! Then again, who wouldn’t want a big, cuddly bear as a pet?

The male English Mastiffs can weigh up to 250lbs, while the females can weigh up to 170lbs. The heaviest Mastiff ever weighed was an incredibly jaw-dropping 343lbs! His name was Zorba, and he was the record holder for the heaviest dog while he was alive. These dogs stand about 36 inches tall, and they can live up to 12 years.
Newfoundlands were originally bred to be used as a working dog for fishermen. The dog is huge, intelligent, and… huge. They’re known for having great swimming abilities despite being so large. Some of them are even used as Search And Rescue dogs across the globe. The Newfoundlands are usually a dark, deep black color, but they are also known to be brown, grey, or even white.
They weigh over 200lbs, and the biggest one on record was recorded at over 260lbs. These dogs live anywhere from 8 to 10 years old and can get up to 29 inches high. They originate from Canada and England, so you know they’re classy!
