Too bad it always disappears quickly
Creationist and Christian fundamentalist Ken Ham is back at it, ready to push his beliefs down your throat. We were all wondering what he was going to do for Christmas, and he did not disappoint. Ken decided to erect a huge Noah’s Ark and he lit it up with some unusual colors. He explained it, “Sadly, people ignore what God intended the rainbow to represent and proudly wave rainbow-colored flags in defiance of God’s command and design for marriage. Because of this, many Christians shy away from using the rainbow colors. But the rainbow was a symbol of God’s promises before the LGBTQ movement — and will continue to be after that movement has ended.” What do you make of it?
Ken Ham, the Hater
Mr. Ken Ham is known far and wide as a fundamentalist Christian who is incredibly outspoken about his beliefs. For one, he thinks that the Earth can only be about 6000 years old despite the fact that most people believe it’s billions of years old.
Ken explained his view on what rainbows are used to represent now, saying, “In recent times the rainbow (albeit with some different colors) has come to represent something far different. To many people it means freedom, love, pride, a new era, and, specifically, the LGBTQ movement.” That’s certainly true; the rainbow flag is a symbol of sexual-orientation freedom. And he hates that.
A Big Ark
So Ken made a huge Christmas display that featured an ark like Noah’s Ark, and he put some very interesting lights on it that will help “take back” the rainbow from the gay community since “the rainbow stands as a poignant reminder that God keeps His promises.”
