These things need to change
Have you ever thought it was strange that your cell phone sends you notifications about the place you were just at even though you didn’t touch your phone the entire time? Or do you find it creepy that parents want to dress their little girls up like grown women and compete for a trophy? Despite the overwhelming number of people who find the following trends and behaviors odd and off-putting, it seems like there will be no end to them.
Here are some other everyday things that are really bizarre if you think about them…
All of the paparazzi. Why is it acceptable that we allow people to stalk others, and take pictures of them. Even when they are in public, I still don’t think this is acceptable. If I started following some cute girl that I passed in the grocery store, followed her home, and kept taking pictures of everything she was doing, I’m sure the police would be on me in an instant.
But as a society, if it’s a celebrity and paparazzi, then it’s “Ok.” Even worse is when they are using telephoto lenses and getting pictures from hundreds of feet away, often when they are on their own property, but “because they can be seen from public property.” (smokinbbq)
Touching pregnant strangers. (killingALLTHETIME)
I didn’t realize how often this occurred until my wife got pregnant. The amount of people who would attempt to touch her belly without asking was disturbing, now we deal with random people trying to peak into the stroller and talk to our daughter. (TheColorFreedom)
When Google sends me a push notification asking me how I enjoyed the meal at a restaurant I went to last night and if I’d like to rate it. (PM_ME_HOT__TAKES)
The “Photo Op” pop ups kill me. Guys, I’m in the waiting room of my gyno. No, I will not post a photo. (dannixxphantom)
