Senator Scores at Paris Fashion Week
Cue the Curb Your Enthusiasm theme music, Bernie Sanders is officially a fashion icon. During this year’s Paris Fashion Week, we caught a glimpse of world-renowned designer Balenciaga’s new line that reminds us that fashion isn’t just for the 1%. Amidst his fight for higher wages for the people and his recent presidential campaign, it looks like the fashion world has taken notice of the Vermont fashionisto’s signature style. Sound too good to be true? It’s not… in fact, the following pictures prove that this is everything you could ever hope for.
Notice Balenciaga’s logo that has a striking resemblance to Bernie’s own. I highly doubt the “sandman” would ever be caught wearing a hoodie under another hoodie, but you got to admit the resemblance to Sanders’s style makes him the coolest looking old guy on the planet.
What’s not pictured is this model pointing in two opposite directions complaining that “it’s unfair the top 1% of male models make more than the bottom 99% combined.”
What better way to “feel the Bern” of that campfire when snuggling up with that special someone on a cold winter’s night than in this campaign-inspired shoulder throw. Would have probably been perfect for that nasty Inauguration Day weather!
Twitter Loves It
Of course, the Internet is in love with the idea of the veteran Senator as a fashion icon. Maybe he can model some of President Trump’s ties next time?
Here’s what Bernie himself had to say about it all. Keep reading!
