While you were sleeping
Do you sleep all the way through the night, or do you stay awake tossing and turning?
Sleeping is one of the best things that our bodies force us to do as humans. There is nothing quite so satisfying or relaxing as taking a well-deserved nap or climbing into a freshly-made bed to sleep the whole night through. It’s estimated that we spend approximately 1/3 of our entire life sleeping, and that’s just fine by me.
But what happens if you don’t sleep well? We all know what it’s like to lay in bed, unable to fall asleep, trying to count sheep to no avail. There may be nothing worse than desperately wanting to sleep but have something—or someone—keep you awake. That’s exactly the case in this bizarre tale of a man who wondered why he was waking up restless. His girlfriend already knew why, but he decided to film himself while sleeping to get to the bottom of it.
If you’ve ever shared close quarters with another person or even a pet—or even if you have the dreaded loud neighbors—you know how hard it can be to get a good night’s sleep with other noises and distractions around you.
Try as we may our entire lives to find a special life partner, few things are more challenging to a relationship than sharing a bed. From tossing and turning to snoring and screaming, stealing the sheets, or staying awake reading or watching Netflix long after our partner has tired going to bed, remaining together in this most sacred of places will present an adversity your relationship may never have seen before.
Is your significant other a snorer? There may truly be nothing worse than that… or so you may think.
For one man, known as pillowtalkTK on YouTube, snoring was the least of his issues at night. His girlfriend told him time and again about his strange nocturnal behaviors, but like any of us, he had a hard time believing everything she was telling him.
To get to the bottom of it, he decided to set up a camera with night vision in their bedroom in order to see what was really happening each night after they went to bed. Little did he know the footage would be like watching a horror movie.
In the description for the video, pillowtalkTK wrote, “I’ve decided to start recording my sleep talking, here is the first week. Yes it happens every night, and yes my poor girlfriend deals with it all.”
Little did pillowtalkTK know how active he was long after he went to bed. In the first week’s videos, he carries out extensive conversations while staring into dark corners of the room—including into the camera itself. Even more unsettling is that the majority of phrases he calls out are variations of shouting “No! No! No!” and “What was that noise?”
But week 2 grows far creepier as he can be seen petting and smelling his girlfriend and even crawling out of bed like some animal. It certainly doesn’t help that the videos strike an eerily similar resemblance to the Paranormal Activity movies.
Would you ever be able to put up with this, or do you think he’s faking for the camera? Either way, his girlfriend seems like a saint… or just a really heavy sleeper! SHARE this article with a friend who snores, sleepwalks, or talks in their sleep!
