H&M is known for being a huge clothing-retail company with locations around the globe, but the effort that they’re putting in to try and help refugee children all over is worth noting. Their campaign started in November of 2016, and the amount of money they’ve raised will surely make a difference.
The H&M Foundation
H&M is known for their stores and inexpensive fashion, but they recently got together and made a big announcement: A non-profit group called the “H&M Foundation” started a campaign in early November of 2016, and they’ve been gathering donations ever since.
The H&M Foundation announced that they had generated a whopping $3.3 million, and all of it will be donated to UNHCR, which is the UN Refugee Agency that makes it their goal to fund the education of refugee children around the world.
How it Worked
The campaign ran through the holiday season and for each H&M gift card sold the H&M Foundation would donate a certain amount to the campaign. This was done in about 4,000 different store locations worldwide.
