Her apology is falling on deaf ears
It’s not you, it’s the sin
In an apologetic video that she posted to quell the negative backlash she’s receiving, Kim explains that she doesn’t actually hate anyone, she just hates the sinful behavior that they’re indulging in.
She explains, “I’m not running from anything. We’re not in a war against flesh and blood. I never said LGBT last night. I said S I N. Whatever falls under sin is what I preached.”
To Kim, homosexuality is a perversion and therefore a sin.
I Love You
“When people take it personal, especially if we’ve never met, you know that the enemy is setting that up,” continues Kim. She believes that she’s merely doing what God tells her to do, but it’s unclear just who she believes the enemies are. Maybe it’s Satan, whom she also mentions in her sermon.
Her roundabout speech continues with the idea that she loves all people, but she can’t stand their sinning ways, and they will have to answer to the Lord. She also asks her captive audience, “Have I ever discriminated against [gays]? Have I ever told you I don’t love you, and you going to hell?”
We’ll let you decide if her words are discriminatory against gay people.
Homosexuality, and other forms of intimacy, are becoming less and less controversial these days, so someone that comes out saying it’s terribly wrong sticks out like a sore thumb. Kim may not lose her fans who hold the same unpopular beliefs, but her career in films may be gone forever.
