It takes all kinds of families to make a world
Gristle For Dinner
Growing up, my dad used to make us steaks by taking a nice big juicy slab of meat, put it on the stove, go take a nap, then come gather the shriveled steak nuggets an hour later.
I had no idea that wasn’t supposed to be how they’re cooked until late high school. (Turbo__Sloth)
Three Little Words
I’ve never told my parents I love them barring really weird situations because they never said it to me (or stopped, I dunno). Now my fiancé and I say it constantly to one another and I can’t imagine having kids and never saying those words to them. Bizarre. (SecretBattleship)
Preserving in Plastic
Not everyone keeps everything in Ziploc bags. My mom kept every possible thing in a Ziploc bag. Pens and pencils, tools, hardware, liquid food, solid food, keepsakes, etc. Basically everything in the house except eating utensils were kept in Ziploc bags.
Never questioned it, it made sense. (stupidrobots)
