This is one part in a series of senseless violence selfies
Domestic violence occurs behind closed doors and in public at large rates, and some people don’t survive their abuse. It’s estimated that about 10 million people every year are abused in the home by the people that they feel the closest to. Most of the victims are women, but this is a case of two men: a stepfather and stepson. The adult stepson was growing increasingly violent yet his parents didn’t force him to leave their home until it was too late for one of them.
Navar Terrance Beverly and his family lived in a typical middle-class neighborhood in Bowie, Maryland, but it can’t be said that they had a typical middle-class lifestyle. According to Navar’s strange Twitter page, he was a 38-year-old two-time felon that was forced to live with his mother and his stepfather Ronald Francis Pinkney. Clearly, he didn’t like the situation, but he seemed too mentally disturbed to be able to make it on his own.
From his many incoherent rantings, Navar is obsessed with Muslims (though it’s hard to tell if he likes them or hates them), hates most women, and was just released from jail.
According the neighbors who really enjoyed being friends with Ronald Pinkney, there was a lot of violence going on between him and his stepson Navar. The two had a history of domestic abuse; the local police were called to the house just two months before they were called there again to deal with a murder. It can be assumed that most of the violence stemmed from Navar who got his stepfather into a chokehold on Friday, August 4.
Navar said, “I told you I would do it,” to his mother before he admitted that Ronald was “dead in the garage.” At some point, Navar left the home, and his mother called 911 about the deadly encounter.
Navar was searched for and finally found at the Hampton Mall. He saw the Prince George’s County Police coming and led them on a high speed chase that ended back near his house. His car was wrecked on the front end at some point, and he was apprehended when he exited the car and tried to make a run for it.
He was officially charged under the suspicion of being Ronald Francis Pinkney’s murderer. It was determined that Ronald suffered trauma to the right eye, bruising to the neck, and asphyxiation.
While that can sound like any other story about domestic violence, what Navar did next truly sickened everyone…
