Some servers really go above and beyond
As a teenager, working in a fast food joint usually leads you to hate the service industry. But one young woman has a good attitude about it and helped out a family with a special request.
Even though they weren’t selling the items an autistic boy was fixated on, Ta’Qualliyia Patterson helped the child get the object that he was nearly obsessed with. Her kindness towards the boy has gone viral.
McDonald’s is the long-running fast food restaurant that you just love to hate. Their Big Macs are so good when you’ve had a few too many drinks on Saturday night, but their less-than-healthy menu has led to a decline in their business overall.
Service With a Smile
Ta’Qualliyia “TQ” Patterson is a typical teenager, working her first job at a McDonald’s in Indianapolis.
As it turns out, the 16-year-old woman is anything but typical; she’s an incredibly caring person that the fast food chain is lucky to have as an employee.
A Simple Toy
On February 4, Patterson overheard a young boy and his mother asking about the Teen Titan toy that the restaurant used to have, but they had moved on to other toys for the Happy Meals by then.
“A classmate brought one of the toys to school and Leif saw it and spent the next two weeks hardly talking about anything else with us. He gets really fixated on things and creates stories around toys,” said the boy’s mom, Bonnie Kandel.
Leif is a first grader with autism. He had become fixated on the toy, so his mom asked to purchase the last toys from the display case.
That’s when Patterson saw an opportunity to help the family out…
