Things don't always go as planned on 'Saturday Night Live.'
In 2009, Jenny Slate dropped the F Bomb during her first episode on the “Biker Chick Chat” skit. She was fired after that season.
She told Glamour in 2014, “Lorne and I never talked when I was fired at the end of the season; I got the news online. I’ve still never watched the clip of my f**k-up. That’d be like watching yourself fall down the aisle at your wedding!”
Samuel L. Jackson nearly said the F Word when Kenan Thompson delivered his line too late. “I’m just saying, I’m used to working with professionals that know their lines. Even the ones that are written on cue cards in front of you,” Samuel explained to Jimmy Kimmel.
Not-So Private Parts
In the 1980s, Matthew Broderick, Dana Carvey, Kevin Nealon, Dennis Miller, and Jon Lovitz did a skit where they complimented each others’ private parts while on a nude beach. They said the word “p*nis” over 40 times, and it caused outrage.
More than 40,000 angry letters were sent to the producers.
John Belushi Cuts His Co-Star
One of John Belushi’s most memorable characters was the Samurai. The Samurai held down several different jobs that weren’t typical for someone weilding a sword, and there were moments when John would wildly swing his weapon around the set.
During the Samurai Stockbroker skit, John accidentally hit his co-star Buck Henry on the head causing a gash. Buck continued to do the show with a bandage on his head.
