When Brittany Murphy died after collapsing in her home, the Coroner’s office claimed that her death “[appeared] to be natural.”
The primary cause of her death appeared to be pneumonia, but was also linked to anemia and multiple drug intoxication, which the coroner report explained as over-the-counter and prescription medications potentially used to treat an infection.
To add to the mystery, Brittany’s husband Simon Monjack was found dead at the same home mere months later, with pneumonia and anemia as the cause of death.
Brittany’s death is still a mystery, though many believe that toxic mold killed both her and her husband.
