After the White House
What do you do with a president when he stops being a president?
Obama’s eight years in America’s most famous home are over, but that doesn’t mean the Obama family is leaving D.C. any time soon. Now that they can take a well-deserved break and escape the spotlight for a time, the Obamas have settled in D.C.’s exclusive Kalorama neighborhood, at least until youngest daughter Sasha finishes high school.
Want to see the family’s new digs now that they’re leaving 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. behind? It may not be the White House, but it’s certainly a very white house! I wonder if they will spice up this luxurious house’s monotone interior design!
Welcome home! The spacious, 8,200-square foot manse is located in Washington’s exclusive Kalorama neighborhood, which also just welcomed new arrivals Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner. Howdy neighbor!
We’ve only seen the front hall and we already want to stay forever. The Obamas, on the other hand, are just renting (for now). They’re staying in Washington until Sasha finishes school, then who knows? They’ll probably head home to Chicago eventually.
Take a Seat
The grey and white theme! The natural light! Who wouldn’t want to sit and relax or have tea in this beautiful living room? Of course, these pictures are from before the last time the house was sold in 2014, so we’re not sure if the last owners or the Obamas themselves made any changes! We think it’s very stately.
