Parents could use a little patience and understanding
Time Consuming
People without kids don’t understand how much time and energy it takes to raise kids. They always expect me to go out and do things with them like before I had kids. I don’t have the time or energy for going out and when I do have free time I’d rather sit in my room alone on my iPad or watching TV. (Ingakatinkabagonanan)
Friends Flee
That we still need friends. From the minute I announced my pregnancy until the day my baby was born, my friends dropped like flies, even ones I’d known for 5+ years. Yes, it’s cool having new mommy friends, but it quickly becomes a competition that you grow tired of. (der_Metzgermeister_)
Acting Up
My kids may sometimes act up in a public place like a restaurant. If they do, I will quickly correct them and try to not have it interfere with your dining experience. I cannot prevent this from happening entirely.
Making mistakes is part of the learning process. Telling me I should never take my kids out in public until they can behave perfectly makes as much sense as demanding they learn to swim before they ever touch water. (munificent)
