He's in for a world of trouble
Corey Stewart is just a man with lofty dreams about being in charge of the southern state of Virginia. He’s trying to win over the voters with his rhetoric about bringing wealth, happiness, and prosperity to them. The problem is that Mr. Stewart’s definition of happiness doesn’t necessarily include the happiness or wellbeing of others. Now the public-at-large is trying to teach him that his opinions are not shared by the majority of people anywhere, and he should probably put his dreams on hold.
Corey Stewart seems like a man possessed with passion and southern pride. He is currently running for the seat of governor in the state of Virginia, and he’s doing so on the Republican ticket.
Just a Simple Man
Corey has been attempting to win the hearts of Virginia’s most conservative folks by touting his love for everything southern. When he says “southern,” he means the old south that really doesn’t exist anymore. People have gone so far as to call him (and people like him) Neo-Confederates, those who dream of bringing back a time of plantations, cotillions, and… other such institutions.
Corey Stewart may have a thing for the south, but he’s not actually from it. He’s a Minnesota boy through and through. Minnesota just so happens to be a mid-western state that’s populated by descendants of Scandinavians.
It’s a pretty liberal-leaning state, and they were one of the very first states to start fighting with the confederacy during the Civil War.
