America's got talent... But it isn't spelling
It’s National Spelling Bee Week, and the verdict is in: Most of America can’t spell.
It’s okay to be a few letters off occasionally, especially on the really long, hard words that seem to stumble even the most skilled English professor. But, after results from a poll of the entire U.S. were released, we’ve discovered that some people have trouble simply spelling their own names and common words. We’re talking four letter words here… See for yourself.
The following states screwed up these words that should be a breeze since they only have 1-5 letters to account for:
Rhode Island- ‘liar’
North Carolina- ‘angel’
You’re So Beautiful
This nine letter words seems to stump all five of these states!
California, Kentucky, Minnesota, New York, Ohio- ‘beautiful’
Alabama, Maine, Michigan, Washington
All four of these states can’t seem to get a grapple on the correct spelling of this medical ailment, but that silent ‘p’ sure is tricky!
Alabama, Maine, Michigan, Washington- ‘pneumonia’
