How desirable is your work?
Everybody wants to be attractive.
Not for the sake of vanity, not in an attempt to compare ourself to others, and certainly not because we think other people’s opinions matter more than our own self-love. But it’s nice to be liked. It’s healthy to have others think highly of you, for whatever it is you bring to the table.
Of course, someone else liking us for our own passions and interests is just about the best combination that there could be. How better to find friends or significant others than by sharing common hobbies? When you choose your path of studies and eventually your career, you’re ideally pursuing a field that truly interest and inspires you. So imagine if you get to do what you love every day, and somebody, in turn, loves you because of it: it would be a dream come true.
Well, look no further, gentlemen. Based on statistics taken from the popular dating app Tinder—which has had over 25 million users and made over nine billion matches since its release in 2011—women can be particular about the attractiveness of a man’s job.
Are you in the right profession?
What is it about someone on active duty that piques our interest? Is it the sheer bravery and heroism, the sense of protection they give, or the fact that they’re usually in great shape?
Most likely, it’s a combination of all these things.
Similarly to serving in the military, there’s just something about a man in uniform that women can’t help but love. One of the most quintessential jobs in our society, being a policeman takes bravery and dedication, and dating or marrying one is sure to come with a sense of protection and fraternity that will give you a lifelong extended family you actually enjoy hanging out with.
Though this list will show you money isn’t the biggest factor when it comes to job attractiveness, being a financial advisor is one of those jobs that can range from being sexy and high-stakes or equally as humble and dedicated to individual clients and their families. From giant firms to private practices, who doesn’t love a man that’s good with money?
