Lost Cities, Shipwrecks, and Skeletons
The ocean is such a mysterious place that it even has some spooky rivers flowing through it like you would see in a horror film. From one river in the Yucatán Peninsula, you can see a layer of hydrogen sulfate at the bottom of the sea which separates the ocean from the “river.” This ocean river is lined with trees and even debris like leaves float on the foggy layer.
The ocean is just so deep that while a team of scientists were digging up samples from the ocean floor, they came across a group of microbe that were just around 86 million years old; that means they’re from the time of the dinosaurs, specifically the jurassic period. It takes them about 1,000 years to divide into two cells.
Apollo 11’s Rocket Boosters
When a rocket was launched into space, the booster engine that allowed it to break out of the atmosphere would detach and fall to Earth. NASA arranged it so that the boosters would fall into the ocean, but they really didn’t care to recover them.
However, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos arranged a team to locate and recover the first moon mission’s rocket boosters. They were able to do so, but NASA demanded that Bezos turn them over to them.
