And you thought the Twilight Zone was scary...
Where’s the creepiest place you’ve ever been to? Can it be seen on a map? Most people dare not venture into unchartered territory, especially if no one can find you. Luckily, these places are not entirely off the grid, but that doesn’t make them any less chilling.

Some light reflection but it’s really creepy. Why does it actually get dark, there’s no tunnel there. An error? (UkraineRussianRebel)

I agree, it must have been quite the sight. I think that, if I saw it personally, I would question more than ever just how long humans will last on this planet, with that kind of destructive power at their fingertips.
My dad always told stories about his dad, who worked at said facility. He’d have to drive out to a bus stop in the middle of absolute nowhere in the desert, half an hour from where they lived, just to be picked up by an unmarked white bus with blacked out windows, to be shuttled another hour to the site. Very hush-hush stuff.(Endymion86)
Chilling….this honestly brings me close to tears. When you hear about the Holocaust as a historical event, it’s too easy to forget how real (and recent) it was.(ThoseStarbucksLovers)
