Do you #DressLikeAWoman?
Seriously? It’s 2017.
Allen and Swan also assert that their sources disclosed that Trump has a slightly more lenient policy for his female staffers, but just because it’s not as specific doesn’t mean it’s not totally demeaning.
The source told Axios that Trump liked the women around him to “dress like women,” whatever that means. They went on to share that even female field office workers for the Trump campaign felt compelled to dress up to knock on doors.
Attack of the Clones
Like I said before, none of this should come as a surprise. Trump has demonstrated his superficiality time and time again. He’s also demonstrated that he thinks that women exist to be seen first, everything else second. I mean, have you seen his talking heads? I would never shame another woman’s appearance, and I want to make it clear that’s not what I am doing here, but it’s worth pointing out that most of the women who appear on TV to speak in his favor look like clones of each other.
Again, nothing wrong with their look. Just worth noting that they all share certain features (long hair, glamorous makeup) and manners of dress.
Twitter, you’ve done it again!
The silver lining to all of this is that the Internet is having none of it—especially Trump’s favorite social media echo chamber, Twitter. Now, I’m not sure if Trump realizes that there is a whole part of Twitter (and the country) that hates him, but there is like, a huge part of Twitter that hates him.
Like, so many people. Many of them are women… Women who, shockingly, dress like women despite wearing pants sometimes. Know why? If you’re a woman and you put on clothes, then you’re dressed like a woman! Isn’t that cool? Funny how that works.
Anyway, the women of the Internet are posting pictures of themselves dressed in all different types of outfits as a big “F you” to Trump, and it’s beautiful. These get better and better… Keep reading to see these women in action!
