A sad story
It’s a crazy enough situation when a child dies at such an early age, but when another child is involved that was the aggressor in the situation it becomes a lot more heartbreaking. You have to think about the parents in the situation and how they feel, knowing that they lost their child because of another child’s actions. Should the parents be part of the blame? Should they be held responsible for the actions of a child that they raised, or was this situation so crazy that it shouldn’t be blamed on them?
Admitting the Truth
In 2015, Ethan Jones, an 11-year-old boy that lives in Florida came out and said willingly admitted that he had strangled Braydan Trahern, his 4-year-old stepbrother to death.
Both boys at the time were living with their mothers, now married couple Kyra Trahean and Vanessa Jones, who lived in a trailer park.
The reports say that Ethan strangled Braydan because he was just “in a mood” and he was angry because of the fact his parents were too poor to afford to get him birthday presents. Despite the disturbing behavior, this may not have been the first time that Ethan gave his mother a significant scare.
A Troubling Past
Mom Vanessa Jones said that in the past, Ethan had been known to have some strange and scary behavior that involved him trying to choke other children, and weirdly digging up and dismembering dead animals. Yikes.
