Social media to the rescue!
Thousands of people shared Amarri’s post hoping to reach someone who knew who it could belong to. And soon enough, someone recognized the engraving.
An employee of the store Things Remembered, who created the piece, saw the post and went through their records to find the contact information for the owner. Sure enough, they were able to connect Amarri to the owners of the snowglobe.
Safe and Sound
Once the family heard that the lost item had been found, they flew right down to Amarri to retrieve it and thank her for her kindness and quick thinking.
The Modry family had ordered the snowglobe featuring a photo of their adopted child on one side and her grandparents on the other. Linda Modry, the child’s grandmother, stated, “This is very special. It’s for our granddaughter, for Katie, because my son adopted her. January 25th was the final day for it.”

Amarri said about her gesture, “My mom always raised us to always be good to people, and if it was me, and I lost my snow globe, I would want the same thing to happen to me.”
Even Katie was overjoyed about the return of her sentimental gift. When Linda met Amarri, she called Katie who emphatically thanked Amarri for her efforts.
Linda said that Amarri was “amazing” and told her, “I can’t believe you did this! And that you actually found us. People are basically really good, and she’s just exceptional.”
