Shut it down!
There’s no better way to put your haters in their place than by doing exactly what they told you you couldn’t do.So when this woman faced haters who called her a “monster” for being covered with moles from head to toe, the best revenge she could get was by auditioning for Miss Universe.
Meet the Woman
Meet the woman who might just be the next Miss Universe. Her name is Evita Patcey Edgar Delumundo.
She’s experienced bullying for all of her 20 years. When she was young, classmates called her cruel names like “monster” and “chocolate chip cookie” due to the hairy moles and birthmakrs that cover her from head to toe.
A Lonely Youth
According to Bored Panda, Evita was no stranger to loneliness when she was growing up. She said, “In primary school, no one wanted to be friends with me. I remember a teacher having to ask two girls to accompany me during recess, and they were whispering ‘why do we have to treat her like a princess?’ It broke my heart. I told them that they don’t have to follow me and they went off immediately. Basically, I was a lonely girl.”
But when she turned 16, things took a turn for her.
A New Outlook
She told Elle that when she turend 16, she attended a church camp that helped her to learn how to accept herself. “I really learned how to love myself and communicate with others,” she said. “This was probably the first time I truly started accepting who I was, how I look.”
Although she considered having her moles removed at some point, she decided to embrace who she was. The best way to do that was to show the entire world, auditioning for Miss Universe.
