When it comes down to it, many studies agree that the best position for your health that will still get you a good night’s sleep is sleeping on your side. But do you know which one?
According to a several studies published in The Journal of Clinical Gastroenterology and The American Journal of Gastroenterology, sleeping on the right side of your body leads to greater acid reflux and longer “esophageal acid clearance.”
People who slept on their left side did not show these signs of increased acidity and reflux.
Want a better night’s sleep? Consider flipping over to your left side.
Do you sleep on your left side already? If not, give it a try tonight and see how you feel in the morning. This is especially helpful for people who suffer from acid reflux, and doctors often recommend it for women that are pregnant.
