Muhammad is also extremely passionate about the fashion industry. When she’s not fencing, she is busy running her online clothing boutique that she founded. The store is called Louella and it produces solely modest, yet fashionable attire geared toward Muslim women.

What the future holds


Muhammad is a small town girl with big aspirations. At the end of the day, she’s just like the rest of us – which is what she feels is her mission to prove. She said in her online bio, “When most people picture an Olympic fencer, they probably do not imagine a person like me. Fortunately, I am not most people. I have always believed that with hard work, dedication, and perseverance, I could one day walk with my U.S. teammates into Olympic history.”
