Of course this male birth control pill won’t protect either party from sexually transmitted infections like the condom.

Women’s responsibility?

According to the Centers for Disease Control, in the United States, 17.5% of women in the United States aged 15-44 using birth control are on the pill. Since 1960 it has been the responsibility of women choosing not to get pregnant to remember to take the pill everyday.

“Even if just 5-10% of men used this (an oral contraceptive), it would limit population growth,” Ilpo Huhtaniemi, emeritus professor of Reproductive Endocrinology at Imperial College London told CNN.
