On the episode, Jones has told Sheldon that Carrie Fisher has gone senile, and they play ding dong ditch at her house. She comes running out with a baseball bat and makes for some TV gold.

Star Trek: The Next Generation is typically considered the franchise’s most popular TV season, and Data is easily one of the most recognizable characters. In his cameo, Spiner crushes Sheldon’s spirit when he opens the mint condition sealed box of a limited edition action figure, therefore ruining its worth.

Another one of numerous Star Trek actors to make a cameo in TBBT, George Takei also plays a fantasy figure in Howard’s mind and appears alongside Katee Sackoff in season 4. Takei’s homosexuality is teased at during the episode as it implies that Howard, too, might have some gay tendencies. The King of Quips, Takei insists he knows about women because he reads a lot. Gotta’ love it.
