So many different types of Opals and all of them are gorgeous! This particular type of Opal comes from Lightning Ridge (where 95%of the worlds black opal supply comes from). Black opal is by far the most valuable and most appreciated by opal enthusiasts.

Flourite

Flourite is a mineral made up of calcium and flouride. It comes in every color but what makes it unique is the cubic shape it’s crystals grow into. It’s relatively soft and so is used for beads in jewelry.

Natrolite

Natrolite is known for for its needle-like crystal shape. It’s found in basaltic rocks like in Trentino, Italy, and northeastern New Jersey and is used in softening water. Not something you might want to wear but pretty to look at!
