3. Williamsburg Pizza
Another Zagat-rated pizza joint, Williamsburg Pizza is perhaps best known for its “Pie in the sky” promo that delivers your pizzas via drone for a hefty add-on price.
Our rats weren’t too impressed by all the hype, however, and they scuttered away with just 2 slices of day-old Margherita.
With various locations in New York, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Manila, Motorino pizza is known by pizza lovers around the globe.
Its popularity was noted by the rats, and they made off like bandits with 3.8 slices.
The Winner: Lombardi’s
Considered the first pizzeria in the United States, Lombardi’s opened its doors in Manhattan’s Nolita neighborhood in 1905.
Clearly our rats were impressed with the restaurant’s traditional recipe (mozzarella and Romano plus some pancetta), and they gorged themselves on 8 whole slices.
I wonder if this pizza reminded them of the pizza their great-great-rat-granddaddies used to eat back at the turn of the century. Sigh.
