What were you doing when you were 16-years-old? Probably not busy being an talented professional artists. While her peers are worrying about learning to drive and prom, this teenage artist was home school and graduated early and spends her days painting. Dimitra Milan, who is the daughter of two artists started painting only 4 years ago but already has more talent than most art school graduates.
“I hope that when people see my artwork, they see beauty. I hope that they see themselves. I hope they have some kind of deep, internal response in their heart—not just a cognitive response. I want the paintings to be like a door to a new world, a heavenly realm where there are no prey and there are no predators, just beauty, hope, adventure, confidence, and of course love,” Milan told MyModernMet.
